Matsumoto, Nagano Pref. – The 35th annual Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival (formerly the Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto) closed Sept. 2 with an ensemble performance featuring two trumpets, a viola and, for the first time in 18 years, a pipe organ.
One of 91AV原创 top organists, Mari Ohki, was brought in to play the instrument, which was installed at Harmony Hall in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, in 1987. “I never dreamed I would have the chance to take part in this festival,” she told The Japan Times after the show.
Trumpeters Gabor Tarkovi and Osamu Takahashi, as well as violist Yoshiko Kawamoto, rounded out the ensemble.
