Halloween is peak season for B-movies, and yet it’s a shame a similar term doesn’t exist for video games — that’d help describe what it feels like to play “Stupid Never Dies.”

Developed by Osaka-based studio GPTRACK50 and released Oct. 21, this zombie-themed game puts players in the decaying shoes of Davy, a reanimated corpse and one of the countless hordes of monsters that have reduced humanity to a vanishingly small number of survivors.

Davy deserted the monstrous ranks in that massacre, though, taking refuge in an abandoned shopping mall. There, he eats a mysterious, polychromatic, power-granting egg (that turns out to be the feces of another character) and becomes smitten with the frozen cadaver of a young human woman who sought shelter in the freezer room of a food court restaurant.
