A growing number of consumers in Japan who signed up for personal training, or one-to-one exercise sessions, are raising concerns about the troubles they subsequently face with their contracts, prompting authorities to raise awareness of the issue.
According to the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan (NCAC), many who registered for such sessions via promotional deals have reported high cancellation fees when trying to get out of the contracts.
The NCAC is now asking for people to thoroughly check the conditions before signing a contract.
