Normally when a player as good as Hanshin Tigers star Teruaki Sato — the reigning Central League MVP who is flying toward the award again this year — is on a team, there are not enough highlights, attention or headlines to go around.
That might have been the case for the Tigers as well, except there is no way to overlook Shota Morishita.
Sato is the headliner among NPB hitters, but Morishita, while not quite on equal footing with his teammate, is making sure his name also featured prominently on the marquee. He is the second best batter in the CL and a player who is more than ready for prime time.
